CAPABILITIES OF A DORNIER 228-212 AIRCRAFT

» The Dornier 228-212 aircraft is a fuel-efficient aircraft with two US-made Garret engines with Model No. Type 331-5A and a rating of 776 SHP per engine.

» It has a short take-off and landing (STOL) capability, which means it can take-off and land in an airstrip of 700 meters with a maximum load of 19 passengers and gross weight of 6,400 kilos.

» All ITI Captain-Pilots undergo regular flight simulator re-currency training at SIMTEC in Braunschweig, Germany.

» Our two Senior Captain-Pilots have a total average flying time of 20,000 hours. Our Chief Pilot has been flying the Dornier 228 aircraft since 1991 with almost 10,000 hours flown wherein he has never experienced an engine failure during take-off or landing.

» Our aircrafts have been used for a regional chartered flight to Malaysia and a Swedish Reality-TV production in 2006 as well as the US Reality-TV show “The Amazing Race” in 2004. Also, as an accredited air transport provider, our aircrafts are regularly chartered by SHELL oil company.
